What I want is something that tells me when to review a topic, what topic to review, and maybe at what difficulty level. But instead of memorizing fixed cards, I’d like the app to use AI to test my understanding in different ways.

For example:

- asking open-ended questions

- making me explain the concept in my own words

- detecting gaps in my understanding

- generating exercises or practical scenarios

- adjusting the difficulty based on my answers

- helping me review the same topic from different angles

Basically, I’m looking for an AI-powered spaced repetition tutor, not just another flashcard app.

Does anything like this exist? Or is there a workflow using Anki, Obsidian, RemNote, Notion, ChatGPT, etc. that gets close?
