Beginner needs advice/help. Trying to save avocado sappling.
I'm a complete beginner when it comes to this stuff, i don't really know anything and I'm trying to get into plants in general, so i planted this avocado in December and two weeks ago planted it in soil. When i did (i had heard that avocados need a lot of water), i watered it generously, but now the soil is wet all the time and the stem is browning (2nd image), the new leaves look fine but the old ones dried out and i pruned them. Is this saveable? Any tips?
