Advice needed : which certifications to choose before a layoff ?
Hello everyone,
I am currently facing an imminent economic layoff in my french company
Before my departure, my company is giving me the opportunity to take one or two training courses from a specific catalog.
I work in manual QA and also in automation with Playwright, and I already hold the ISTQB Foundation certification.
Faced with the choices available to me, I have two crucial questions and would greatly appreciate your feedback and your view of the job market:
Is it worth staying in this field? Do you think adding these certifications to my CV will genuinely boost my employability and help me bounce back quickly, or should I rather take advantage of this transition to look toward other promising fields?
If yes, which training courses should I prioritize? Given that I already have the Foundation level, which of these options seem most sought after by recruiters today?
The AI options (ISTQB GenAI or ISTQB AI)?
The technical specialization (Technical Test Analyst or Test Automation)?
Specific performance/monitoring tools (Dynatrace or NeoLoad)?
Management (Test Manager)?
Thanks !
