I rewatched the Truth conceilved by Time and something popped into my head, the lights had a may have had a lil too much faith in their virtues. The Lights were never stated to be right constantly and clearly have as much wisdom and thought as their wielders, due to being made along with them and resonating with them. Maybe thats why the current ones are more talkative with their hosts, to ensure they don't make the same mistake twice. The lights made a mistake and are now doing their best to ensure it never comes to pass.

As for the abandoning the beasts, I don't think thw world would be fine in the scenario if the beasts still had full power. And as for the lights not helping the beasts, there is possible explainations to this: The same problem that White Lily had, in Hope for Freedom, its made clear that under certain circumstances the owner will be unable to hear their light. Something similar happened to Hollyberry in her beast yeast episodes where she could barely hear her soul jam.

Moving to another topic, why are people so mad about the secret thing? I feel like we had this explained several times, the point of the secret is so no one messes with the tree and frees the beasts. Like Silent Salt said, no one would question the witches.

And finally, for splitting apart and leaving the beasts, really? Thats an arguement? Sorry if I sound rude but, You want the beasts at full power? We already saw what Mystic Flour could do with her full strength, if the lights didn't choose to leave, the second they broke out, the cookie world qould be over. The silver tree struggled to hold them in beast yeast episdes 1 and 2. Them at full strength would've been far worse.
