
I really like some of ideas from this event...
For so long, I was hoping we would get something with high replayability and no time limit on it. Throughout all the updates, we had a few attempts at something like that in the form of roguelike modes, but each time they were either too small and finite or lacked some important aspects...
This event comes from the same direction, but I want to highlight a few good ideas used in it. I think they kind of nailed the replay-ability part with these missions, I like them. If they could just mix together ALL the stages we’ve had from all of previous events and sprinkle them with different modifiers or requirements (for example, enemies can only be damaged through collisions) or force certain characters to play around, it sounds pretty intriguing, ain`t it is ?
They could cycle it as a monthly reset-able shop with weekly/daily missions and challenges. And while I’m more of a casual player, they could also add something like an ultimate trial for whales and tryhards with a two-week reset and rewards which are valuable yet skip-able for F2P players, like additional currency for the mentioned shop and of course not without ranks to tackle competitive ardor...)
You can dream all you want about something like that, but we live in our reality. I guess I compare all roguelike modes in gacha games to the best execution of this idea to my opinion— Arknights’ Integrated Strategies. I cleared a few iterations of it and spent dozens of hours there, enjoying almost every run thanks to the strong replay-ability and regular updates/changes.
I feel like at this point I already lost track of what I even wanted to write there at all, hehe... Well, what do you think? How do you like this new event, or why not?
