This one's about Gustave Courbet's "Le Sommeil," a companion piece to his banned "Origin of the World," painted for the same private collector. It covers the hidden model connected to Whistler, a police report, and why the painting stayed out of public view for 122 years.

Would love your thoughts, and happy to check out your work in return. What controversial painting should I cover next?

I make art history videos and paintings in oils and pastels. My latest is about the Courbet painting that was hidden behind a secret wall for over a century. Feedback is very welcome! Video: https://youtu.be/XZmbIqZ9PMI?si=RWN0LHqGyxBvRkSF

Recently I made this portrait of dumbledore in oil pastel

She is a 5–6 month old vaccinated kitten, very playful, affectionate, and full of personality. She loves attention and human company.

Hoping to find a caring and responsible family for her ❤️
