QLC+ vs. Intermediate Software

Hey, i am fairly a beginner when it comes to lighting design. Our current Setup is 2x Moving Heads 2x LedBars and 6x Pars.

My Father in Law has a bit more that i can practise with.

(4x Betopper moving Bars, 2x Strobes, 2x Spiders, 2 LED Bars)

I have been using QLC plus for a bit of time but only did some scenes that ran a bit of their own.

Since we are getting more Professional and want to expand I have been looking up more what the real "LJ's" are doing.

Although it looks like a lot of work - it sure does look beautiful.

But to getting to my question:

How does QLC+ come in comparred to other paid software solutions such as Chamsys, DasLight - (or even Lightrider).

When it comes to mixing live visuals and not just playing the same 5 Chasers the whole night.

Do you think the upgrade is worth it?

I would be considering spending a bit of money but nothing crazy like getting a GrandMa wing ( Even if the Live Shows i have seen with GrandMa are crazy)

We are mainly Playing: Acid Techno, Hardcore, Uptempo, Schranz etc. So mainly Electronic music.

Ps: Sorry for my Bad English as it isnt my Mothers Language
