10 years later... still the most badass intro sequence in a game [DOOM 2016]
From the very moment you wake up in the sarcophagus to that final shotgun pump, the game wastes absolutely no time. It just throws you straight into the action, no bullshit, and keeps the entire intro sequence tight as hell.
Also does a great job conveying Slayer's personality without him saying a single word.
And the opening lines themselves...
They are rage, brutal.
Without mercy.
But You?
You will be worse.
Rip and Tear, until it is done.
Makes it very clear that it's a survival horror game...for the demons.
