What’s the difference between the Toyota Ativ HEV (DNGA) hybrid system and the HEV systems in TNGA Toyotas like the Camry?

Hi everyone! I’m currently considering buying a Toyota Ativ HEV, and I’ve been trying to understand more about its hybrid system before making a decision.

One thing I’m particularly curious about is how the Ativ HEV’s hybrid powertrain compares to the hybrid systems used in Toyota models such as the Camry and other TNGA-based Toyotas.

As I understand it, the Ativ is built on the DNGA (Daihatsu New Global Architecture) platform, while models like the Camry are based on TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture). This made me wonder how much of a difference that makes when it comes to the actual hybrid technology.

Thanks!
