Hysterectomy with excision

Hey ladies, I need abit of advise. Im in the waiting list on the NHS for a excision for DIE stage 4 involving bowel but i am really considering getting a full hysterectomy instead. I have suspected adenomyosis and also have a family history of ovarian cancer but I was BRCA1 negative. However both of my ovarias are full of endometriomas (cysts).

I already have a son, so if im not meant to have any more kids thats fine I can accept that, my one son is worth a million.

The dilemma I have is whether to leave my ovaries or take them out. The way my brain works is take everything out dont risk leaving anything, you will get cancer :( (seen my mum go through it so the paranoia is real). However I had a total thyroidectomy in 2024 due to thyroid cancer so I already have a major hormonal organ already out and on hormonal replacement for life.

I dont know what the impact of a total hysterectomy will be on me with it being more major hormonal organs out. I cant think straight and really dont know what to do. The endo specialist I met did say looking at how advanced my case is I will need a hysterectomy down the line somewhere, so thats the part that makes me want to just get it done now. Im 34

14k for endo excision!!

Hey everyone so I got a quote today for private surgery and it was £14000. That includes the hospital fee, the endo specialist surgeon fee, the bowel surgeon fee and anaesthetist fee.

I just want to know what sort of figures ladies have paid in the past. Is this too much, too less?? Also its west Yorkshire (leeds).

Any response will be really appreciated

Clothing issues!!!

Hey everyone, im looking for some tips here (modest).

Im a stage 4 endo girly, diagnosed 2 years ago currently awaiting for excision surgery with a specialist. Recently I have been really unwell, multiple hospital visit here(uk) and abroad ( 3 country holiday ruined). Im really having issues wearing alot of my clothes, like anything im wearing around the waist is bugging me and causing me discomfort because I am swollen around that area. I read a few post about clothing on here but what does everyone suggest to stay comfortable in.

Ryeqo or prostap

Hey fellow endo warriors, has anyone had any experiences with both of these medications, good or bad. Iv been doing alot of research and mostly can only find negative experiences. As a stage 4 DIE girly with bowel and adeno, iv been offered both until I wait for my excision surgery by the specialist.

Any advise, please help!!

Okay so im not sure where to begin but I booked a 6 week holiday (3 countries) and Iv had a major endo flareup in each country where iv ended up in hospital 😪 im currently in the 3rd country and again ended up in hospital yesterday so iv had to cut the trip short and going back home in 2 days.

Is there any tips or pain relief advise anyone can give to get me through my flights and get home in 1 piece. Iv been having a flareup every 4-5 days and having multiple large endometriomas on both ovaries I keep thinking they have burst.

I normally just use nurofen express for pain management but since iv been away I started codien and also took a naproxn yesterday. The physical impact is obviously there, but the mental and psychological impact is draining me. Im so scared I might have a flare up mid flight or on way to airport 😭 I will end up bringing a flareup on me.
