I read an article that has a well-sourced article claims 84% have never used Generative AI. OpenAI claims 2.8 billion have used their system alone. Google claims 2 billion users with 40% using Gemini alone.

The world's population is 8.3 billion. Take out kids <2 yrs old and it's ~8 billion. The data manipulation is crazy. My theory is that the AI companies are using AI to create users and write a prompt so the AI companies can claim they are unique users. It's also possible the competitors are using AI tools to prompt competing platforms to drive up their competitor's costs.

This whole thing is looking more sketchy everyday.
