MindBloom - Mental Wellness web app with research based quizzes
I built MindBloom as a mental health app for high school students. Free, no paywall, built around the specific pressure of school life.
One piece of feedback I got early on stuck with me.
A student used the burnout screener during finals. It measures things like workload intensity, exam deadline pressure, time pressure, and sleep quality - all separately. Then it generates an AI explanation of your risk level based on your actual answers.
She got an "Elevated Risk" result. And her response was: "This is the first time I've seen something explain why I feel this way instead of just telling me to take a break."
That's the whole point.
Not to diagnose. Not to replace therapy. But to give students language for what they're experiencing - so it's less scary and more manageable.
MindBloom has:
- A burnout screener with AI-generated, personalized explanations
- Weekly wellness topics focused on school-life stress
- Mood tracking with activity logging
- Mental health quizzes built on CBT, PERMA, and emotional intelligence frameworks
- An anonymous community space for students to share and support each other
- A curated resource library with hotlines, apps, and directories filtered by country
All free. All built for the student who's quietly struggling and can't find anything that speaks their language.
If you know a high schooler who's been grinding through a hard semester - this is worth sharing with them.
