Comparing Perry to Gerber

When Matthew Perry died, and his assistant was convicted for getting him the ketamine, Maureen quite rightly pointed out that obviously an employee of a celebrity does what the celebrity wants. She also thought that the assistant shouldn’t have been convicted for getting him the drugs.

But then with Presley Gerber, she thinks that his “sober coach” should have been responsible for him doing drugs? I’m getting whiplash. Obviously Presley Gerber was a lot younger, but he was still an adult who was responsible for his own addiction. A sober coach can only do so much (as they’re a glorified conscience) and dropping him at a sober facility is probably a last ditch attempt to get him not to do (more) drugs (as he was likely already high) and the sober coach was not being successful in stopping or preventing his drug use.

Hayden P Death

Didn’t Maureen say that she wasn’t sober when she was doing her book tour? And that it was irresponsible of the media to let Hayden get away with it and not push her on being under the influence?

I immediately thought of it with her death. How sad and unnecessary.
