Hello I just wanted to ask people's opinions on this does anyone think that maybe when Hilda and Malthus met again in the ending that Hilda may have had a Boyfriend or possibly other sexual partners here and throughout the 4 years away from eachother?

I would like to assume Malthus would have never dared seeing other people, classing it as 'adultery' in his eyes and heart so would have never had anyone and kept himself celibate during the time being.

But what about Hilda? She's a women who has had experience so what if their had been a couple rare nights being out in Rio where she had been with a couple men and its not the same with her prostituting back at the district but its more of an ordinary early 20s thing to just want to get a non committed rush? Or something even more deeper that I personally came up with and am actually exploring in my unreleased fanfic is that what if she finds a man who she dates, a man who has similar qualities to Malthus but when I mean similar qualities I mean his negative ones, the shouting and frequent judgement on the things she did? what if she pyscologically does this without realising as she wants to prove she is a women that can love, sa women unaffected by a man who she was destined to be with and saying he was gonna run away with her not showing up aso leavin g her alone? what if pscolody she wants to prove she she can love a man but also prove to Malthus some way she can love a man that is not him?

this is going to deep into it but let me know your opinions?
