Broil King Baron 440 2016 VS Weber Spirit E435
Hi All!
I have an old 2016 Baron 440 9221-64. A couple years ago, I had a brand new cook box sent to me via warranty that I didn't bother to change. I also got brand new burners in the kit. The drip pan is also prestine because I had it wrapped in foil. I just never got around to swapping out the cook box which finally completely rusted through. I figure there are a few more parts I will need to replace + all the grills and flavor fins.
Here's the thing. On a whim, I bought a new Weber Spirit E435. I later read that the Broil King runs hotter, and while Weber IS Weber (after all!), the E435 isn't manufactured with the same quality components that gave Weber their brand recognition (or so I've read). I paid $750 CAD + tax, and I think the price is reasonable.
With the E435, the most important part (the cook box) has a 10 year warranty. Burners and grills are warrantied for 5 years or so. However, the cabinet only has a 2 year warranty and those materials may not be as good as what I had with the Broil King. The grill is a bit smaller with the E435 as well, but there is only so much cow I can eat at a time anyway.
What would you guys do? Stick to the Weber, or try to give the Broil King a new lease on life? Which is likely the better quality product?
