Advice for master student
Hello all, I'm a first year masters student and I'm coming up to halfway through my first placement at a drug and alcohol unit. I found the first stretch a bit difficult but now I'm starting to feel more confident. Im still not sure what part of social work I want to do after. I'm torn between hospice, prisons or focusing on the disabled, I have the most experience in this last one.
My supervisor recommended I study more before my midway and placement wants me to start being more like a social worker and less like a student social worker.
Does anyone have any advice or reading that they have found helpful in their proffessional career? Ive found actually using the pcf framework with examples has helped, any advice that would make me more confident and really make me more competent, should I juet read up on policy and all my uni modules etc or is there anything ive missed ?
