Is upgrading from 165Hz to 240Hz worth it for Valorant?
Hey guys,
I’m currently using a 165Hz monitor and thinking of upgrading to 240Hz mainly for Valorant.
For context, I play Valorant pretty seriously, around Tier 3 (Private Org), so this isn’t just for casual gaming but kabhi kabhi chalta h...lol. I’m mainly looking for better smoothness, lower input lag, and that slightly faster feel while peeking, tracking, holding angles, micro-adjusting aim, etc because peek and hold ke time everyone one taps before i can react.
My PC can easily hold 300 ke around FPS in Valorant, so performance shouldn’t be an issue.
I know 60Hz to 144Hz is a massive jump, and 144Hz to 240Hz is also noticeable for a lot of people. But I’m confused about 165Hz to 240Hz specifically. On paper it doesn’t look like a huge jump, but in actual gameplay maybe it feels different? Especially at higher ranked / competitive level.
Thoda confused hu because I don’t want to spend just for a small placebo upgrade. So people who have used both 165Hz and 240Hz please help me by answering - "did you actually feel the difference in-game? Or should I save more and directly go for 360Hz later?"
Would really appreciate real-life experience, especially from Valorant/CS/FPS players.
