Strange hair loss

My hair length is past my shoulders. It’s been this way for a couple years. 12 months I got an iud and started shedding hair and having tons of regrowth that keeps falling out. When I take a bath, I see regrowth that is between 3 and 6” floating in the bathtub. This hair loss pattern has been going on for months. I found this interesting so I took a photo. I removed my IUD last night. I’ll report back as the months go on without an IUD.
