Popping paint
1909 Colonial Revival. You are looking at the ceiling in the back hall by the back stairs. Ceiling is Lathe and plaster. You can see how portions of the paint are popping off.
Otherwise photos are the landing and continuation of the stairs above. This area is not at an exterior wall, and not near a bath or any water.
We've lived here 8 years, and have already painted this twice. What is causing this?
