Looking for recommendations for a very good camera
Hey! Pretty much what the title says, I’m looking for a really nice camera at a decent price point. Hoping to spend like $500 but I am willing to pay way more for a camera if needed because I think it’d be a good investment for life. Maybe up to $1,000?
I don’t really know anything about cameras or photography but I am wanting to get into it. It’d also be very good to have for my job. I’m located in the U.S.
I would need a camera that is very good at taking photos and videos and would look very professional grade. I’ve had digital cameras in the past which have all been unreliable. I am wanting a camera that will make anything look good at all hours of the day and even in dark rooms.
I’m hoping for the camera to be relatively portable. But any recommendation works. I mostly want it to take good photos for social media and to eventually use it to build an art portfolio.
Also please feel free to give me tips. I see a ton of people saying to get a ton of equipment but others saying any camera is fine and that people get too into it lol. I’m hoping to take photos of mainly people, which I heard needs a specific type of lense so please let me know if this is true? But yea thank you anything helps.
Note I saw I needed to add stuff about features, current cameras, and cameras I’m considering but to be candid with you I don’t know anything about those. I don’t have any cameras and don’t know anything about features. I’ve seen people recommend the G7X on tiktok but I’ve also heard it’s overhyped so I’m looking for good solid recommendations.
