Little bit confused about realtors

So I see all the time people say work with realtors and lenders to get leads, while I understand why lenders would want to work with insurance agents, they literally need insurance for the home loan to close. Why would realtors get involved?

I guess realtors know they need their client to have insurance, but wouldn’t the lender ensure they’re placed with someone instead?

If you work with realtors how do you get them to send you leads?

Customer: “insurance is a scam”

There’s been so many instances when customers tell me “insurance is a scam I didn’t have any accidents or tickets for XYZ years but it still keeps going up, and I don’t get anything out of it”

And I always respond the same way, “you can’t control an accident it’s an accident for a reason, the day you hit a Ferrari and you pay $500 insurance covers the rest, you’ll be thanking me”

They go silent, and they end up becoming really good customers. Granted I say it in a funny lighthearted tone, not coming off as a d word or something

What are your guys go to’s?
