dumb units

why are some units so dumb?

like for instance

medics (and also dr vitamin)
they dont follow flares? they follow other units. ok fine.
but they dont follow units UNTIL they take damage?? so they just stand in the back twiddling their thumbs like idk if i i have riflemen running into machine guns (warships) medics just stand there and do nothing until a few die.
CMON

also the protectors! They are actually legit a pretty good unit. IF they dont just stay in the back and shield a useless unit, like a turret, that isnt even in the fight...

Protectors would be so much better if they werent so dumb??
Like their shield is legit pretty strong and it only takes a boat of them to be effective.

then if you pair protectors with medics?
i swear. ive seen them just stand in the back and heal/shield each other and ignore the rest of my army.

Why Boom beach sucks

I really love playing boom beach; but lately its become more of a 'chore' than anything.

its losing its appeal.

I like the idea of boom beach having different currencies; that's not all that complicated to figure out.

What annoys me, is the difficulty of some of these weekly events. I remember back in the day, BEFORE cycle of evil gave tokens and coins and stuff. You ACTUALLY GOT resources from it.
AND AND AND !!!! the most important part

The bases were not TOO difficult. They scaled up in difficulty as you progressed; i.e. stage 1/2 were like HQ 5. It was the best. and you got A LOT OF resources from it. BUT NOW
NOW
They have to be practically maxxed out now. WITH INSANE BLUE STATUE BOOSTS
HOW IS THIS AN IMITATION? HUH
THEY HAVE BOOSTS THAT NO PLAYER CAN OBTAIN!??!?!?

Sure, its a player layout; ok. BUT WHY DO THEY HAVE +1000% Building HP and +500% building damage? insane. Not to mention bunkers and garrison (which haven't made their way into ops yet)
DO THEY HAVE GADGETS? UGH

Imitation is probably the least fun cycle of evil.
I would rank down twice if i could. Its way too freaking hard. It makes me not want to play the game

The matchmaking is another issue. You get punished for being good at the game. Like im sorry; why am i being matched with nonstop 86+ level? Its actually insane. The game clearly wants you to suffer. Its not even fun. I don't want to play 86+ nonstop. Maybe like 1-2 bases. I'm like level 75-76. I shouldn't have to fight these guys that are way out of my league. SURELY, SURELY, THERE ARE OTHER PLAYERS MY LEVEL AT MY RANK??? NO????
NO lets jump STRAIGHT TO A MAXXED OUT PLAYER
jesus fucking christ.

I pay every month for an extra builder. I dont pay for instant training unless im close to a hq levelup. I don't mind paying for a game that I LOVE and enjoy. Gotta keep it afloat somehow (i know one person isn't going to do much, but you know, if i'm willing to buy, others surely will be)

I Don't even care how that the game is 'pay to win' with gadgets and leaders. I enjoy the game aside from that. I can collect a good amount and get the leader of the month. I wont unlock all abilities but i might unlock their base form. Fine. i don't care about this. I think its cool. new variation

BUT HOLY FUCK
The game difficulty is just insane. Defense got a huge boost. Offensive? not so much.

I mean eventually I could clear my map. I have no motivation to. Especially at my higher levels.
I really wish I could turn Player bases into Blackguard bases, for less resources and LOSING VICTORY POINTS.

LOSING VICTORY POINTS IS SO INSANELY HARD TO DO! HOLY CRAP

THATS ANOTHER THING?
I've noticed that getting new bases to appear on your map has SIGNIFICANTLY slowed down

I used to clear my map of NPC bases, and by the time i log in 24 hours later; its full. I have so many
NOW-- NOW OMG NOW
I see maybe 4 in 8 HOURS

FOUR

BASES

Insane.
Sure I have a lot of player base, but im not that good at the game. So they just sit there. I cant win them all as they say. ESPECIALLY WITH MIND CONTROL and then Mines. I lose all my troops to mines sometimes. UGH

I wish there was an engraving that reduced mine damage. Or a red statue or something. I mean yeah ok troop hp. But im talking specific reduction to mine damage.

Don't even get me started on Sonar Ops.

modern mythology and "entertainment"

I just saw Spiderman: Brand new day and something occurred to me:

There seems to be no sports teams in the MCU (and maybe also in THE DCU?)
Correct me if I am wrong, because I am not really fully sure about this.

In my opinion, sports plays a sort of mythological role in some of our lives. Not to me, I don't really care. But some people really follow it and get really invested. Like if their team loses, they have a bad day, sort of thing. I had a friend like that. The dodgers lost, so her day is ruined--despite not playing for the team or having any sort of contribution at all?

Not to mention all of the people who like to debate sports. for example; comparing players between different eras, it almost becomes mythologized. I.e. Michael Jordan and his Airness as a good example. We sort of idolize sports players, especially when their feats seem out of this world.

And it got me thinking; in MCU, there seems to be no sports teams (again I COULD be wrong. Please correct me if I am). And if there are no sports teams, then how do the citizens of this universe entertain themselves? Is there entertainment....watching the fight between super heroes and supervillains? And if so, would that mean super heroes are like a sports team?

Thank you.

Superheros and lack of aging

Hi!

As someone who is getting older (and become more aware of this through various health issues...that are kind of getting better but off topic), I realized something, we worship superheros.

well; maybe not worship exactly? but my point is that we have had the same super heroes (for better or worse) for roughly 80 years or so. I mean the most iconic ones. Superman, Batman, the Hulk, Captain America, etc.

These heros have existed for roughly 80 years? And whenever they are presented in a comic, or movie, or what not, they are always like in their 20s to 40s. They don't seem to really age?

Does anyone know why? Why in mythology do we make characters that never seem to age?

Adventure time music

I know there is a plethora of AT music out there. but some of it is a bit disappointingly short.

like the banger "Fries song" by Marceline, 50 seconds! Its a great song. I wish it had a full 2-3 minutes!

A lot of the adventure time songs are short like that. and it kind of makes me disappointed? I guess.

Another franchise I really enjoy is star wars. Star wars is totally different, but idk sort of similar. Boy discovers magic in a dark world. But Star wars (maybe because of its larger fanbase? idk) has so many songs. I mean we can listen to the thematic music (darth vader march) OR the fan generated satirical music, which there is a lot of.

I wish people made adventure time songs. Or maybe they do and I haven't heard of it?

I would absolutely pay money to hear AT songs =]]]

Starchy Podcast Graveyard Shift

I dont know about you; but I would love a show similar to 'The Midnight Gospel' except the host is none other than our very own Starchy, and he hosts his own conspiracy and paranormal podcast on the Candy Kingdom and Ooo in general?

Or maybe he actually starts investigating things, like some terrible recording equipment, a notebook full of crackpot theories, and just travels around Ooo, and starts trying to uncover the "truth". And maybe because its Ooo, half of them accidentally come true?

Starchy has always been one of my favorite side characters. He has so many weird layers. Hes funny, paranoid, strangely confident, and somehow both an idiot and most aware person in the room. He believes in nonsense...but also lives in a world where nonsense is usually real.

Remember when he wanted the wizards cure to feel better from the cold? And PB wanted to science her way to a cure for him? So they break into the Wizard city and steal a cold spell or something? I mean, the guy is just a great character.

What do you all think? Would you watch a show dedicated to Starchy? It could almost be like a Gravity Falls vibe. Except Starchy... =]

Card Wars

Card wars was probably my favorite episode. Not the 2nd episode with Jake playing in that tournament, the first one, where Finn and Jake play each other.

"I do not play such games with Jake" --Bmo (Probably )

It was hilarious because Finn just kept flooping the pig; doing one thing completely ruined Jakes strategy. I think either Jake is bad at the game; or using corn in the game is just bad.

Where am I going with this?

I wish they had more matchups; of characters playing.
I mean yeah the entire show is magic. But card wars is just satire on Magic the gathering, pokemon, yu-gi-oh, etc.

No card wars in fiona and cake =[

Card wars side quests? Idk didnt watch it (yet, you can tell me i dont care. i like spoilers)
