B1 visa from another country

Good day

Is it okay to apply for B1 visa from another country ?
I have dual citizenships ( turkey / syria ) and a residence permit in the gulf region

But waiting time in US consulates in turkey is too long and the consulates in the gulf region are not receiving visa applications due the regional circumstances as u know

I found out that there are some appointments available in the consulate in Amman, Jordan.
So is it okay if i can apply there ?

Step2ck result

just got my Step 2 CK score report.

I’m not really sure why I’m writing this, but I thought it might help someone who’s currently going through the same journey.

If I could go back and do it all over again, there are a few things I would do differently:

1. Keep it simple.
I would get rid of most of the extra resources and stick primarily to UWorld, along with Amboss for Ethics, Biostatistics, Quality Improvement, Screening, and Vaccines. Looking back, I spent too much time jumping between resources.

2. Trust yourself and trust your preparation.
I think I had one of the worst cases of imposter syndrome imaginable. What made it even worse was reading countless negative posts on Reddit and Twitter/X. My advice: don’t let those posts get into your head. Correlation does not imply causation. Someone else’s experience is not necessarily going to be yours.

3. NBME 14, 15, and 16 were the most predictive for me.
In my opinion, these exams were the closest to the real thing. I ended up scoring exactly the same as my NBME 16 score, so I would recommend saving that one for the end of your preparation.

4. Practice timing aggressively.
Do UWorld in timed 20-question blocks and focus on pacing. The real exam questions are often very long, and time management is crucial. Also, whenever you encounter a patient chart question, consider leaving it until the end of the block. Those questions can consume a lot of time if you’re not careful.

5. Sleep matters more than you think.
I genuinely believe I could have scored even higher if I had slept better before the exam. Not that im not happy with my score .just Don’t underestimate the impact of good sleep on performance.

That’s pretty much everything I wanted to say.
To everyone currently studying: keep going. Trust the process, trust your work, and best of luck on your exam journey.
