I interviewed for a Sr Product Mgr position and the hiring manager liked me and thought my background really aligned with the role.

I finished the loop interviews including bar raiser last Wednesday and got a rejection email today. I thought I did fairly well if not a 10/10. I really prepared deep for this.

Trying to analyze I can only see something the bar raiser might have found no hire-worthy in my answers but I still cannot think of something that could have been a major red flag.

I am trying to talk to the recruiter soon, how can I ask for feedback since Amazon is clear about not sharing detailed feedback. Its been very tough for me with my layoff and absolutely nothing has worked out.

I was unceremoniously laid off about 8 months ago and still have not managed to land PM role despite 8+ years of experience and considerable amount of prep for the countless interviews I have given.

I am on visa, so time and money is running out. For very personal reasons I cannot even begin to think about moving back to my home country.

It feels like I don’t possess the skills and like an absolute failure in life. Never felt so hopeless.
