Quick question about maximizing Premium trial length before setting up a new device (6 months vs 3 months)
Hi everyone,
I’m currently a new user to the Fitbit ecosystem (running the app on my phone without a tracker yet).
Right now, the Fitbit app is offering me a 6-month free trial for Premium as a new user promotion. However, I am planning to buy a new device soon (likely the new tracker), which I know comes bundled with a 3-month free trial.
My goal is simple: I just want to secure the longest free period possible (the 6 months instead of the 3).
If I activate the 6-month trial in the app just before I unbox and pair the new device, will the system let me keep that 6-month timeline? Or will pairing the new hardware automatically override my active status and force me down to the 3-month hardware standard?
Has anyone tried "cherry-picking" the longer app promo right before linking a new device? Did it work, or did the system mess up your trial expiration date?
Thanks for the help!
