Cuttings rooted by placing them on top of moist sand in a humid tub were first planted in clear plastic cups (12-24 oz depending on size). The medium is a mix of perlite, vermiculite, sand and 25% commercial potting soil. That step worked pretty well for the first several weeks. Up potting from a Starbucks cup to 4x9 tree pot was ok for 3 days, then wilting started. I've tried misting, covering with a plastic bag, not sure it's helped. One picture shows amount of roots many cups have, other pic shows a so far successful up pot of smaller cutting from 12 oz to 1 gallon. I'm in so cal and have already moved many cups to an outdoor table. Do I need to cover clear cups to keep sunlight off them? I'm pretty stressed out as I've already removed large leaves from the White Madeira in the tree pot and afraid I'll never get to stable trees. Help!
