Found Multiple AHL Edge 1.0 Prototypes Displayed at League Ceremonies in 2008 & 2009
I was doing some photo reference research in the depths of the AHL’s Flickr account, and saw these jerseys being displayed during their Hall of Fame Luncheons they had in the 2008 and 2009 All Star breaks.
By my count, I see about 14 jerseys that are prototypes, with 4 of those being assumptions:
Both of San Antonio’s crests are too small.
WBS’s white jersey has the penguin tilted a bit more downward than the final design.
Both of Syracuse’s has the city spelled out above the CRUNCH.
Hartford is odd, because it seems that they did not start the season wearing 1.0s, and the final design they went with when they did wear them had a more pointed collar than what is seen here.
Hamilton’s white has no piping.
Binghamton’s white has the 2D Sens logo, assuming the red does too.
Lake Erie’s burgundy has two Monster head logos on the shoulders instead of the Avalanche being on the right. Assuming their white is the same since I could not find a good angle on that one either.
Lastly, it’s hard to tell, but Hershey doesn’t appear to have shoulder patches on either jersey. So I’m assuming on those two too.
