I keep seeing more people talk about using AI for KDP publishing but most of what I find online is either overly positive marketing content or people who have never actually tried it dismissing it entirely.
What I'm genuinely curious about is the practical experience from people who have gone through the full process. How did the AI handle context across a long manuscript, did characters stay consistent or did things start falling apart after the first few chapters? How much time did you spend editing before it was ready to publish? And did the formatting come out KDP ready or was there a lot of manual work involved?
Also curious about the niche side of things. Did you find certain topics or genres worked better than others for AI assisted writing?
