Just wanting to know if this is normal. I booked through a broker who assigned carrier (lets call it company x). They picked up my car on Tuesday.

I get a call today from a unknown number that has my name, the car details and the time and approximate delivery location. The person says they are with company x. But the for the zelle/payment details they sent its a different company/carrier (company Y).

They said I can pay by cashiers check to company X or zelle/cash to Company Y

Is this normal for a carrier to sub contract without letting you know?
