Muslim and Turko-Japanese populations in modern Japan in 2026

This is a part of my Tayva timeline (more maps posted soon) where basically, the Ottomans buy shipbuilding technology and Fort Zeelandia from the Dutch in the 17th century since both countries disliked Spain. The Ottomans proceed to colonize Taiwan and later, conquer the new Tokugawa Shogunate with the help of the Date, Hojo and Shakushain, who get their own fiefdoms, or beyliks, in the east. Japan wins its independence with the 1868 Boshin Revolution, and the Ottomans get exiled to Taiwan in 1922, which then becomes a British protectorate under the Treaty of Lausanne and, after gaining independence in the 1950s and going through a period of dictatorial reign, still exists to this day.

Seishinjin (清真人) means ethnic Yamato Japanese who are Muslim, while Turko-Japanese are the Muslim descendants of the Ottoman Turks who settled in Japan, mixed with the Yamato population. Bizenli are descendants of Ottoman Turks and Yamato Japanese, who speak Turkish and have adopted the Shinto-Buddhist syncretism of the Yamato Japanese.
