When You Land On The Hot Seat A Year Removed From A Three-Peat

I’m four seasons into a Madden 13 (Wii) franchise sim as GM of the Green Bay Packers. As the GM I assembled a powerhouse behind prime Aaron Rodgers and went 12-4 or better each of my first three seasons on route to three Super Bowl victories. Following our three-peat, Mike McCarthy retired and I had to bring in a new head coach who coached the team to a 12-4 record. Unfortunately we finished 2nd to Detroit who also went 12-4 and got bounced in round one by Philly. Now there is a mob outside the front office and team executives are coming for my seat! Such a fickle league the NFL is. Barely a year removed from a three-peat and one playoff loss has everyone demanding new leadership! Haha.

First Time Modding Questions

Hi. This is my glacier GBA I have had for a long time. I had bought it already modded off of eBay, but after many years of playing my favorite games on it, it’s time for a refresh. The shell has cracked, the screen is non-laminate and some dust/gunk has gotten under the display and I can’t make it any brighter than the default AGS-101 brightness.

This is my first time attempting to mod a GBA and want to make sure I understand what I am getting into. From my research I believe I want a ITA TFT over an IPS display, but I have absolutely no experience with soldering. Is this something that can be done without soldering? And if not, is it easy for a newcomer to do? I believe I have a 32 pin model based on the number beneath my battery cover.

I have attached a screenshot of the Funnyplaying components I plan on purchasing. I was also looking at possibly getting the USB-C battery mod. Is this mod solder free? Is it an upgrade over using regular batteries / is the battery life any better? Also, is there any value in selling my old display for parts to recoup some of the costs?

Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
