I’ve not been to Chessington for over a decade, and am going in a couple of weeks- I was hoping I could draw on the expertise of you lovely people! I’ll be going on a weekday the week before half term, and my main aim will be to do all the coasters. My questions are:
1- What sort of strategy would people recommend? I remember Dragon’s Fury having really big queues and being a slow loader when I went before, but would I be better off going to Mandrill Mayhem first as that’s the newer ride and also presumably doesn’t have massive capacity?
2- How does rope drop work? Is it like Thorpe where they drop the rope and everyone runs to their first ride, or like Towers, where you can get into the park half an hour early and wait outside your first ride for it to open?
3- Is it worth paying for early entry? It’s £10 for the day of my visit, and I’m tempted to get it as I’ve got a Merlin pass so won’t be paying for a day ticket too.

I absolutely love this show, however there’s one thing I don’t understand. The show has sections for past, present and future, with Disney songs for each era, however the songs in the ‘future’ section are from films that have obviously already been released, and are from the same era as the songs in the ‘present’ section. Does anyone know if there’s a reason for this, or if there’s a story beat that’s going over my head? I’m probably overthinking this but it’s really bugging me 😂
