Hi everyone, I'm interested to see what people think is needed to further the cause of decreasing ethnic tensions and creating a shared national identity in the US.

I'm aware not everyone here supports civic nationalism in the first place, but for those who do, what do you see as the current roadblocks, both culturally and policy? How do we achieve buy in from black people, white people, and immigrant people? What about native Americans? What policies or achievable cultural changes do you think are the most needed to create the social goodwill needed to create a shared civic identity?
