Cruise dates change issue for World America.
So I have a cruise booked on the World America on July 4th but have circumstances that mean I am no longer able to go on those dates, so yesterday (June 1st) called up asking to move the dates to September 5th and today (June 2nd) called up after waiting the 24hrs for them to confirm or whatever and it was done, dates moved and minutes later I got the booking confirmation for the new dates on the same ship, now about 8 hours later, I've gotten 2 emails from MSC, the first saying that they are unable to change the dates due to being within the 30 day limit (it's June 2nd which is 32 days before July 4th so that's a massive lie) and the second another booking confirmation for the old dates on July 4th.
I've also just called them and tried to ask about it to which they said the services we need to speak to are closed and they can't help us at all or disclose any information about it??
I literally asked "But can you at least tell me I'm not within the 30 days so this is an error" to which I was replied to with "I'm unable to disclose that information to you I'm afraid you'll have to wait until tomorrow to call again"
But by then it’ll be the 3rd and if the same process happens I will be in breach of the 30 day policy.
Brilliant, this might have just cost me an $800 deposit.
