Hey everyone! I’m looking to get into laser engraving wood using the xTool S1 20W, and I’m starting completely from scratch.

I live in an apartment, so I’m trying to figure out the best setup for a closed indoor space. I’ve seen people mention things like air purifiers/filters and air assist systems, but I’d really appreciate some real-world insight from those who are already doing this.

If you have a home or apartment setup, I’d love to see pictures or hear what’s worked best for you—especially when it comes to ventilation, smoke control, and keeping everything safe indoors.

Any tips, must-have accessories, or things you wish you knew starting out would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!
