I want to set up my own mockups for my designs, scanning various elements i found on the street in really high quality, catching my own new textures. To do this i would need to scan at the maximum quality in dpi terms.
What are the models of quality flatbed scanners (> 2400dpi) compatible with MacOs Monterey?
Internet just become rotten, and LLMs are giving me an headache :( reddit may save me!
I now have a Canon Lide 210, which is supposed to be 4800dpi. With Image Capture on Monterey i can push it till 3000 without having a popup saying it can be bigger than 1.8gb (whyyy?), but the quality looks the same of a 600dpi. With the app Naps2 and same settings the quality seems better, tho i have the same popup when i try to go above. And honestly Naps2 doesn't allow to select portions of the picture before scanning, is very dumb.
I really think the problem is the compatibility: while Lide 210 has compatible drivers for Monterey, it doesn't provide softwares. So i was wondering what could be a flatbed compatible with Monterey even on the software side.
professional suggestions would be very much appreciated! 🙏
