Budesonide 3 weeks before my wedding?
Hey all. My symptoms (compared to most of what I've read here) are mild. Mostly urgency that is generally mucus with diarrhea (not everyday). After a colonoscopy my GI prescribed budesonide. I am having a destination wedding in exactly 3 weeks. I would love if they helped me and I could actually enjoy our wedding but I also feel that maybe I am not too bad off to need them and maybe imodium would be enough. My hesitation is due to:
vanity - I have worked so hard to lose weight and Ive read steroids cause water retention and weight gain and I would like to look good
worse symptoms - Ive read that they can also cause even more diarrhea (how soon does this generally appear?) And there may be other unpleasant side effects.
Based on your experiences, what would you recommend? (Yes, I know you are not doctors, I just want to hear other people's experiences)
