I’m preparing for a product launch and trying to be thoughtful about where I share it.

I’ve seen a lot of posts get ignored (or removed) because they feel promotional, so I’m trying to understand where launches are actually welcomed vs where they’re just noise.

Right now, I’m considering:

• Product Hunt
• Reddit (select subreddits)
• Indie Hacker communities
• Twitter / LinkedIn

But I’d love input from people who’ve done this recently.

• Which communities actually drove meaningful traffic or users for you?
• Any subreddits that are genuinely open to product sharing (if done right)?
• Places where you expected results but got nothing?
• Any unwritten rules I should be aware of before posting?

Not looking to spam links everywhere. Just want to focus on a few places where it actually makes sense.

Appreciate any suggestions or experiences.
