I pruned this back hard a couple of years ago and at the wrong time of year, I was worried I'd done permanent damage. It's come back with a vengeance this year, absolutely gorgeous colours.

We're in the south-eastern midlands with sandy top soil but with clay underneath, so I'm amazed how well this is doing
