Basically title. Hey all! Hopefully y'all are doing well?
I was looking to get a camera but needed some help with all the different options out there and figured this would be the best place to ask so here goes:
Background: I'm into photography and occasional vlogging, not for youtube but for my own personal use. I currently have a gopro hero 10 for action videos and sometimes, I change the settings to make it work like a vlog camera. Also use my Iphone 16 for pictures.
What i need: I'm looking for a solid camera rig that'll allow me to take decent (nothing over the top) pictures of nature landscapes etc and also allow me to vlog and record videos on the side. Again, nothing over the top
budget: $500 or so
considering: these were the options I'm looking into but I don't know what to choose:
- DJI OSMO pocket 4: decent price, just came up. good gimbal and vlog. only downside is the 37 mp photos. wish it was a bit higher
- insta360 luna ultra: *yet to release but based on leaks, looking solid. Good camera and photo capabilities
- gopro mission 1: pre-order now. probably fits my needs the best with a cinematic-type video and good photo. is a bit pricier for all the gear however
- Insta360 Ace Pro 2: seems like a good action camera/vlogging camera and also has decent photography capabilities.
- dji osmo action 6. another solid camera. good sensor and solid photo/vlogging potential
What do y'all think?
