what birth control is best?

i’m 20 and my doctor recommended spironolactone for my acne, but also suggested birth control as it can cause birth defects. here are my concerns

- my parents don’t know i am sexually active, and are very conservative (like wanting me to wait for my wedding day to kiss someone)
- i am on reta, and that slows absorbtion so a pill would be inconsistent for me
- insurance may cover implants, but i dont know how to keep it confidential as i am on their insurance
- weight gain and acne scares me so bad
- my boyfriend lives in another country, which we have a 10hr time difference, so the pill would be hard to manage consistently
- i dont want to bleed for months
- i hear so many varied experiences between multiple types of bc, but dont want to risk getting the wrong one for myself and experiencing bad side affects first hand
