Just wondering if there is a non-emergency police job I can get a certificate for in community college. I would love to help the police in any way possible but just want to know any job opportunities.
In 911 dispatch can you use a microphone to record the details if you have dyslexia and memory is a problem? Or a notebook with pen? I don’t want to miss a single thing so the police or first responder can know exactly what is going on. Any police talk I can research to help code this correctly?
I will be enrolling in a community college certificate program for the job and want to know.
Also, when you get off the phone with the team can you then get time to take the notes or do you have to record things fast and memorize. How can you as a new person help reduce the stress of your team like dispatch to workers. Can you smile and cheer them on? I am a friendly person who is always happy go lucky.
