vent: M1
M1 was my first exam of this session and the paper was so unlike any others I had done. I had to self learn mechanics, and by the time it came to do the exam I was aiming for an A because I was scoring around high B's.
The paper was honestly so bad and I've been feeling so discouraged for all my other exams ever since; if all my efforts and time spent studying is trumped by a bad paper, literally what is the point of studying for anything at all? I saw someone say anyone who does further maths would do okay in the paper/that they brought a question that you only learn in P4, so then what about the people that don't do further maths/are sitting M1 as their applied maths unit for AS, not A2?
I was aiming for an A before I opened that paper and now I'm not even sure if I'll pass, and if I do its going to drag my overall grade down so badly. The exam board tests the limits of how far they can push before everyone fails as if we're lab mice without considering that this literally jeapordises our futures and chances at getting into university?
