I’ve been thinking about this because omnibus collecting can go in very different directions.

Personally, I usually collect by character or team. For Marvel, I’m mainly building around Spider-Man, Daredevil, Black Panther and Avengers. For DC, my focus is Batman, JLA, Flash and Nightwing.

But I know a lot of collectors do it completely differently. Some follow specific writers or artists, some only buy complete runs, some focus on events, and others just pick up the stories they really want to read.

So I’m curious: how do you collect?

Do you build around characters, creators, teams, continuity, events, or just whatever looks interesting?
