Played and fell in love with the Gibson L-00 Standard; the only thing that kept me from pulling the trigger is that I much preferred the look of the specials, and at 1k less, it seems too good to be true. Unfortunately they did not have a L-00 Special to test out.

Of people who have played both, how does the tone of the special compare to the standard?
