Is tuition really necessary
For context, I am a current Y4 student who has roughly 7h of (private) tuition every week and my grades have been generally all consistent As for the past 2 years.
Despite my consistent grades, my mother have already been searching for tuition courses when i progress to JC next year, and she believes that only through tuition can I achieve my current good results. With the already hectic and high commitment lifestyle in JC + ccas, I feel that having tuition for all 5 subjects is too much for me to handle.
I understand that she is worried that JC is very challenging and that she wants to support me in my academics, however I believe that this may eat up so much of my free time to rest and relax. Hence, I am wondering if this is actually considered a normal amount of tuition in JC and whether this much tuition is actually deemed necessary?
