Thalassophobia

I really don’t like this fear, as would anyone else with a fear, but it’s especially bad because I live in Florida where I’m always at least a mile away from a body of water.

I have no idea how I acquired this fear I just know I have it. I used to love swimming in the creek and going far out at the beach, and I’m also aware that sharks are not inherently aggressive animals, but now the thought of swimming in water where can’t touch the ground makes my chest hurt.

I think I’m afraid of the unknowing part of murky water and deep oceans because I have no problem with what resides in them. Like I said, I know sharks aren’t aggressive, and I plan of working with crocodilians and venomous reptiles in the future.

Why do I have this fear? I really want to swim in the ocean and in creeks without having a panic attack, and I also want to know why I acquired this fear. I looked up why people have thalassophobia and it just says it because people have had trauma from drowning and other things but I’ve never had a bad encounter with water.

This was a question but also kind of a vent.

Need some anime recommendations, please

I need some anime recommendations I’m not picky but I prefer anime’s after 2005 at least.

I don’t care about genre I just don’t want the MC be either insufferable and/or constantly weak/dumb.

No surface level anime that everyone and their mother have seen🙏

Thank you.
