Store-bought Kimchi smells like plastic?

I bought a jar of kimchi a while ago (specifically the Mommyboss brand), but when I opened it, it smelled really off? Kind of like plastic. Initially, I thought that maybe it just wasn't fermented enough or something, so I left it alone in the fridge.

I recently remembered I still had it, so I tried opening it again, but it still had that same off-putting, plastic-y smell. So this time I thought maybe it was from the plastic jar leaching or something? This brand also used a styrofoam seal.

The thing is that I have bought from this brand before, and it smelt/tasted fine back then. I guess I'm just wondering if I got a bad batch, and what should I do with it now?

How do I properly set up ffmpeg?

I recently downloaded yt-dlp because I kept seeing it recommended whenever I looked for where to download videos/audio off Youtube.

I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong because while I can still download general stuff with yt-dlp, it says ffmpeg/ffprobe was not found and to install it, even though I already did. For any answers, please ELI5, thanks!

  • I downloaded ffmpeg off the official site and set it inside the yt-dlp directory
  • I extracted the ffmpeg zip file with 7zip and copied the path of the bin folder
  • Then I pasted the path into Environment Variables (Double-clicked Path on User variables)
    • Here's what the path looks like (censored the user):
    • C:\Users\USERNAME\yt-dlp\ffmpeg-N-124616-g3baab604db-win64-gpl\ffmpeg-N-124616-g3baab604db-win64-gpl\bin

eta: I'm using Windows 11, in case it wasn't obvious enough in the path
