3 years ago, after playing since 2010(?), I completed the game, 100%, which I posted here proudly. For 3 years, I haven't tought about MHFU, until one week ago. For I always had a lingering regret. I wanted to have a full White Fatalis armor. To show true mastery in the game by defeating the boss time and time again, and to give this game a proper closure. And so with this purpose in mind, I turned on the PSP to enter Pokke Village.
It took me 2 hours to kill White Fatalis with my trusty hammer. Maybe more. I hit it, it flee, I hit it again, it died. It was harder than I remembered. I got the rewards, and I didn't even tried to see if I could make the armor. All I could think was: "Is there an easier way to kill this guy?". And there was. Oh boy, here we go.
White Fatalis armor-mode is killing me. I start searching on the Internet. There is an easier way to kill it, Bow and Gunpowder Felyne. I can do that, easy enough.
Oh. No I can't. no I can't. I don't have a single useful Felyne ability for that. Seems like I completed the game with no idea about felyne cooking skills. No problem. I start recruiting new chefs. What about the Bow?
- Akantor Chaos Bow. Oh, ok, Akantor is easy, there won't be a probleWait what is that? Ukanlos Stone and BigEDragonJewel. Alright, Ukanlos is pretty straight forward, what about the Jewel?
I need to kill Elder Dragons. How many? You better pray. I hunt a G Chamaleos with my hammer. It takes 30 mins to kill, maybe more. I try Teostra. Was it always that hard? I stick with Chamaleos. IS THERE AN EASIER WAY TO KILL CHAMALEOS?
Dual Blades / Element Attack up + sharpness Armor.
- I need Punishment Blades. What are those. I need HvnlyRathalosScl. What is that? You better prepare boy, 2% on Silver Rathalos. I take a Katana, which I might have played for 10 hours in the game, and start cutting G Silver Rathalos tails. I cut, I search, I repeat. I cut 10, 20 tails, I get HvnlyRathalosScl. I craft the dual blades. What about the armor?
- I need Kirin Horn X. I KILL 3 G KIRINS. I get the materials, I have everyhting I need to START FARMING CHAMALEOS
I kill God knows how many Chamaleos. I finally get the Jewel. I only need the Ukanlos Stone for the Bow and thats it.
IS THERE AN EASIER WAY TO KILL UKANLOS? I want the best Hammer-Armor combination to kill Ukanlos, because fck me that's why. What do I need? I craft Magnitude Hammer for the first time in my life. I download Atheneas ASS, that's great. It tells me there is only one armor with what I'm looking for. RA+2, sharpness+1 and sharp sword. I need Kaiser Crown X for my armor. It requieres BigEDragonJewel.
I jump out of my window and then proceed to exterminate every Chamaleos in the game. I get another Jewel in how many tries? I don't know. I craft the armor.
I then kill 3 Ukanlos, and I finally get the stone. I can finally craft Akantor Chaos Bow. I have my new Felyne chefs prepared.
I realise I no longer want to kill White Fatalis, at least not for now. My drive to play this game has been satisfied. I feel at peace, fulfilled. I once again thank this game for the countless hours of fun and excitement it has given me. Maybe in the future I will farm the Fatalis. Maybe then I will give this game a closure. Maybe to never be played again. Maybe.
