26y/o living in Cape Town ,educated but no stable job - is there hope?

Hi everyone, for context I am an Environmental Science Honours graduate, with degrees obtained from the University of Stellenbosch and UCT, respectively.

I'm reaching a point where I'm considering pivoting careers, as I have been unable to secure stable employment in this field. The only opportunities I have been able to obtain have been internships, despite years of study and continued efforts to gain experience.

While I remain passionate about environmental sustainability and conservation, the reality of the job market has left me questioning whether I should continue pursuing opportunities within the environmental sector or explore alternative career paths where my skills may be more transferable and marketable.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has successfully transitioned out of environmental science, or from those who have found ways to leverage their environmental background in other industries. What fields did you move into, and what additional skills or qualifications helped make the transition possible?

At this stage, I'm trying to make a practical and informed decision about my future career direction. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
